注釈: Photograph from the public hanging of Masha Bruskina and Volodya Shcherbatsevich, Minsk, Belorussia. Masha (17) was a Jewish high school graduate who joined the resistance & helped wounded Soviet soldiers escape by providing civilian clothing and false identity papers. Volodya (16) was a resistance fighter. Amongst 4,000 women to be hanged by the Nazis.
