The Old Testament prophet Moses, looking to the right, displays a scroll inscribed with an extract from the story of theburning bush (Exodus 3:2).This panel is a pinnacle (third from the right) from the high altarpiece of S. Croce, Florence. It was situated above Saint James the Major and Saint Philip (Berlin, Gemäldegalerie).
